across the message that elderly still have the right
to build and fulfill their dreams.
30 elderly
volunteers with an average age exceeding 65 years
old participated in the 2000 km cycling
expedition. Of which, 3 bikers are from
Singapore.
To increase
awareness among the young on the importance of world
peace.
50 most
representative works painted by students from the
Nanyang Family were selected for the “3rd World
Children Calling For Peace Painting Exhibition” in
Beijing in October 2008.
More than
1800 persons viewed the exhibits.

"Share Your Barbie, Uplift Her Spirit"
To share a
message of hope and love to the under-privileged and
orphaned children in China.
To encourage
children in Singapore to donate their treasured toys
to signify that they have a compassionate heart for
the poor and orphaned in another country.
A total of
4000 barbie dolls and toys were collected and handed
over to the representative from China Association
For Promoting Children’s Culture and Art.

Fund-Raising Event involving 7 charitable
organisations.

Out of Loneliness" Walkathon
To encourage
filial piety and respect towards the elderly among
the younger generation.
To encourage
the elderly to take steps to keep themselves active
in society.
More than 6,000
people participated in the walkathon to bid farewell
to loneliness.
In addition, we also
set the Singapore book of records for “Most
Number of People Doing A Mass Walk With A Sash”.
